Healing the Abused with the Love of Christ

The world is full of problems and great sufferings as you know. I just read of a man charged and convicted with sexually abusing many young males. Most of the abused young males grew up to become adults; some deeply scarred with pain and sorrows. It has caused them to have extreme shame and fear that many of us truly cannot adequately comprehend. Their lives were tainted in a very negative way. Had they not experienced sexual abuse, they probably would have turned out very different individuals.

Recently I also read a report of a young lady that was raped by attackers in Pakistan. Her father was killed and she narrowly escaped and now has to deal with the ramifications of the event. There is a flawed justice system in Pakistan that does not protect people justly. The reasons are that the rulers and lawmakers have different belief systems on what justice really is as compared to our Western world’s measurement. Perhaps the court will see it that the young lady was responsible and release the men? Could the case be proven false and truth be scorned?

God knows the hearts of all men however and He will judge all of us eventually for our actions.

Why do people abuse? The answers have varied since the beginning of time. Many people point to ‘this’ or ‘that’ as responsible.

John 8:44

You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. (New King James Version (NKJV))

I believe that the Father of lies, the devil, is the main source of abuse. He motivates people to rape, murder, emotionally abuse and so forth. This spirit involved can take control over a human soul. Some believe God is the complete controller of everything on earth but in fact satan has been given a ‘temporary’ authority over the world. I do not really understand why God allowed this to happen but realize that I don’t need to understand why as I am only a man and not God! (Rev 12:9)

And these are the ones by the wayside where the word is sown. When they hear, Satan comes immediately and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts. (New King James Version (NKJV))- mark 4:15

John 3:3

Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” (New King James Version (NKJV)

other verses

john 6:22

The world that is under the spell of the devil will hate all who follow Christ. The devil does all he can to convince people not to believe and obey God. The devil hates God and His son Jesus. It is sad that many do not even realize that satan is actually the source behind all suffering and destruction on the earth. When we become born-again; all of the chains that tie us to satan are broken. The devil’s authority over us is broken when we believe in Jesus and become born again. Yes, we may stumble in the faith but if we acknowledge it so by repentance and changes in action; we can move on.  .

John 14:26

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. (New King James Version (NKJV))

God and Jesus are one. When we follow Jesus, we then can be led by the ‘Holy Spirit’. Jesus sent the Holy Spirit when He left the earth over two thousand years ago to guide and protect humankind. Those who are led by the Spirit of God can always prevail against the devil’s schemes. We cannot be ‘overtaken’ completely with sorrow, pain and depression because the comforter (the Holy Spirit) will be instructing the born again believers of Christ.

The love of the Christ can truly heal anyone whom is abused or recovering. It allows us to realize that humans are not the source of abuse but the devil is and uses people as pawns. The devil can even make the believers of Christ fools if we are not careful. He can tempt us to do abusive things so we must be on guard.

When you cause pain or abuse others, then we must repent to the Lord Jesus and get back into walking a Godly life. Jesus is the perfect example of what a Godly life is. The apostles and many in the church mentioned in the Bible as well are examples of people that walked according the teachings of Jesus. Since the beginning of the church until today’ there are people who have walked upright before God and entered in the everlasting life that Jesus speaks about in scriptures. Let us aim to do the same with purity and honor!

John 5:24

Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. (New King James Version (NKJV))

John 6:47

Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life.

(New King James Version (NKJV))

God is full of justice and mercy. Jesus is the way out!

Are you suffering and have been abused? Give it to Jesus. He heals and protects anyone who believes in Him. I do. That is not to say you will not have trials or suffering…..but you will be have abundant life as you continue in the faith because Christ promises that. Amen!

Christ’s love combats hate and unforgiveness that can build up in a person’s heart. It is because one gains understanding with a new heart. You also  become also armed with the mind of Christ. Jesus has healed the pain of my past and events taking place even this past year and many past years…..

I grew up in a broken home and had much in the way of bitterness towards many in my family and friends. But the love of Christ that I first discovered back in 1995, has always brought me back to place of healing and forgiveness. Jesus tells us to forgive and helps us deal with the daily affairs of life. That is exciting and liberating to say the least!

Jesus says…

Luke 6:37

Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. (New King James Version (NKJV)

Luke 17:3

Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you,[a] rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him.

( New King James Version (NKJV))

….read about forgiveness and more in the New Testament of the Bible. Let me know your discoveries…..

May you be blessed. Let us continue to learn the ways of Jesus and continue to be healed in so many ways.

Cheers and Blessings
